Christian Brothers' Schools Student Exchange Programme 2024

The Opening Ceremony of the Christian Brothers' Schools Student Exchange Programme 2024 was held on Saturday, 20 April, at Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College. This programme encompasses all five Lasallian secondary schools in Hong Kong and today marks the commencement of the exchange students' schooling at their respective "new schools."

With a rich history spanning 16 years, the exchange programme aims to foster interaction and understanding among students from various Lasallian secondary schools, while also strengthening their shared identity as Lasallians.

It is hoped that all participants, including the exchange students, mentors, and Student Organisers, will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in and learn from the unique yet diverse Lasallian cultures present in our schools. Together, let us embrace the notion that "We are one, but we are many."

Hong Kong News-Expo—Behind the scenes of the Hong Kong News industry

Our student ambassadors went on a journey through the history of news, the art within, and the future of the Hong Kong news industry. The exhibition provided students with an immersive experience to explore the news industry as well as to taste the emerging technologies and digital innovations. They gained insights into the evolution of news, the news production and its significance on society.

Service Learning - Food Action Exhibition and Charitable Events

Our students put their hearts into raising awareness and support for various food-related initiatives in Hong Kong. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the participation and generosity of our teachers, parents, and students.

Here's a glimpse of the fantastic activities that took place during the exhibition:

F1 Interclass Quiz Competition: Our F.1 students showcased their knowledge and enthusiasm in a thrilling quiz competition focused on the issue of poverty in Hong Kong. Congratulations to all the participants for their impressive display of teamwork and intellect!

Handmade Organic Fruit Cleaners: We sold these homemade eco-friendly fruit cleaners, which took us three months to create from scratch, to raise funds for the Pei Ho (Ming Gor) Charity Foundation (北河同行). Our support will go a long way in assisting this worthy cause and making a positive impact in our community.

Food Collection and Donation: We collected and donated an abundance of food items to Food Friend Action (民社糧友行動). Our contributions will directly benefit those in need, lending a hand to ensure that no one goes hungry in our city.

Oxfam Rice Sale: By purchasing Oxfam Rice (樂施米), students joined hands with Oxfam Hong Kong to support their vital work in alleviating poverty and promoting sustainable agriculture. Our kindness truly makes a difference!

Eldershop Goods Sale: The Eldershop (銀杏士多) booth offered a variety of goods, providing an opportunity to support our senior citizens and honour their invaluable contributions to society. Our purchases helped create a better future for our elderly.

These booths and exhibitions shed light on critical food-related issues in Hong Kong, fostering a sense of empathy among our students. We are immensely proud of their dedication to making a positive change. Together, we have created a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, inspiring our students to continue their journey of service and compassion.
