Transcripts, Leaving Certificates and Recommendations

  1. For Transcripts, Leaving Certificates, and Letter of Recommendations, parents are to write directly to the Principal.
  2. The school will only issue ONE Transcript and ONE letter of recommendation to each student. Students who apply for more than one school / university, will have to send certified photo copies of the original transcripts and certificates.
  3. To certify any original copies, photo copies are to be given to the office with the original copies for checking purpose. (maximum 10 copies for each document)
  4. If the school is to send certified copies to an overseas institution, a pre-stamped addressed envelope and instructions are to be included.
  5. Form 1 students who apply for overseas schools in the middle of the year will ONLY be issued with Leaving Certificates.
  6. Letters of Recommendation will only be issued to students who have completed one full year of study in La Salle College.
  7. When applying for overseas studies, students are reminded to write down clearly the Name (Surname and Middle Name), Form, and Class.
  8. La Salle College will not be responsible for supervision of any entrance examination to an overseas school / university except under very special circumstances.
  9. In normal circumstances, the school will help a student to process not more than 6 overseas schools / universities.
  10. Procedure for applying for a letter of recommendation:
    a) Write directly to the Principal.
    b) A (C/R Form) is available at the School Office.
    c) Completed Forms and photocopies are to be returned to the Careers Coordinator.
    d) One working week notice is required.
  11. F.6 Students who are asked to produce predicted grades in  HKDSE Exam are to write directly to the Principal.  Minimum 3 working weeks notice is required.

Leaving Certificate a simple document showing the period of time a student stays in La Salle College.
Recommendation a letter assessing a student’s academic ability, extra curricular activities, character and conduct in the years he attended La Salle College.
