Language Across the Curriculum

Objective

1. To collaborate with teachers of KLAs to promote a wide range of reading material across the subjects and strengthen students' information literacy.

2. To share learning and teaching resources to support language learning in content-based subjects.

The WebSAMS
The WebSAMS is a networked computer system to assist the school’s administration and
management processes, and to enable the electronic transmission between schools and the
Education Bureau (CDS).
 
The work of the SAMS team covers the following areas:
 1.  Printing of registration forms and updating information.
 2.  The manipulation of students and parents’ personal information such as making class lists and
      class registers.
 3.  Handling Staff Deployment module in WebSAMS.
 4.  Maintaining attendance records of students.
 5.  Registration and result handling / rechecking of the Communication Delivery System (CDS) for the
      Public Examination.
 6.  Examination marks input and preparing of report cards.
 7.  Maintenance of staff information.
 8.  Management of the parents’ e-mail database.
 9.  Timetabling.
10. Processing of student promotion each year.
11. Admission of new students into the system.
12. Financial management through Budgeting and FMP modules.
13. School e-Services Portal.
14. The school database.
15. Preparing Student Activity Profile (SAP) for F1-F6 and the Student Learning Profile (SLP) for F6
      HKDSE students.

  5. To check the hygienic conditions of the school canteen and to serve as a bridge between the school authority and the school canteen in providing information and suggestion for the necessary improvement measures.

Objective
  1. To implement quickly and responsibly a crisis management plan.
  2. To ensure the immediate safety of all students and staff and to re-establish the stability of the school routine as soon as possible.
  3. To nominate a spokeperson to handle enquiries from its various stakeholders and the mass media.
  4. To prepare a formal statement from school in relation to the crisis.
  5. To identify at-risk students for necessary intervention and to provide effective counselling.
  6. To liaise closely with EDB, the Regional Education Office and relative external organizations throughout the crisis management.
