Our F. 5 students visited the Environmental Education Centre in T-Park and have experienced the culture of recycling / upcycling and the benefits of "waste-to-energy". They were inspired by the advanced technologies such as sludge incineration, power generation, seawater desalination and wastewater treatment used in the self-sufficient complex.
This activity aroused students' concerns for safeguarding the limited reserve and students would develop a sense of responsibility for the sustainable development of our society.
Our students set sail on an educational journey through the history and heritage of Hunghom, a traditional district with a rich industrial and military past. The students explored the district’s rich history of religions, wars, and marines. The opportunity of discovering how the antiques and heritages have been turned into a new area of leisure and luxury was fascinating throughout the entire tour.
This tour was a magnificent opportunity for our students to learn about the culture around us that has been neglected, we were also fascinated to see the enthusiasm and curiosity of the students.
In the context of the annual French Francophonie Festival in March, the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, the PSG Academy and the Alliance Française organised a French-speaking Football Competition on Sunday, March 17, 2024. 200 students learning French in various schools in Hong Kong participated in the tournament and La Salle College sent some French boys and NCS students across all forms to take part in the event. Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the tournament.
Students explored the fascinating world of AI and machine learning, delving into the intriguing realm of image processing and photography. They witnessed how AI enhances and transforms these fields. Our F.1 students also have the opportunity to build their very own AI Rubbish Sorting Machine using Micro:bit and LEGO. This hands-on experience not only develops their block-based coding skills but also empowers them to contribute to solving real-world challenges.
The STEAM enrichment team of the college remains committed to providing more exciting opportunities, allowing students to explore a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and equip them with the necessary skills to confidently compete in an ever-evolving world.
We are thrilled to announce that our school has received a Merit Award at the PolyU SCIENCE Young Talents Competition! Over 370 teams from more than 150 schools participated, showcasing their theoretical knowledge and laboratory skills across four streams: Biology & Food Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
