In celebration of the Feast Day of our Founder, St John Baptist de La Salle, volunteers from the Lasallian Youth Movement dedicated their holiday to serve at the Food Angel on 16 May.
These dedicated volunteers prepared nutritious lunch boxes for individuals who are less fortunate in our society. By embodying St La Salle's core values of "Faith, Service, Community," they have exemplified the essence of his teachings. We are confident that the enduring legacy of St. La Salle, which has reached 80 countries worldwide, will continue to thrive and illuminate lives far beyond the boundaries of the Lasallian community.

The Senior and Junior Form Assemblies took place on 10th and 13th May respectively. These assemblies served as a platform to showcase students' participation in both internal and external events.
The National and Civic Education (NCE) team presented several activities. A group of student ambassadors took part in a 7-day exchange tour to Beijing and Hangzhou, funded by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government. They visited numerous attractions and participated in the Territory-wide Inter-school National Security Knowledge Challenge. Another pair of student ambassadors shared about a Kowloon City Walking Trail they led, funded by the Urban Renewal Fund, which allowed them to reflect on preserving heritage and history. A team of Form 3 and 4 students was awarded the 'Greater Bay Area Youth Leadership' Award after visiting innovative technology enterprises, which enriched their understanding of public elections and the electoral process.
Additionally, a Form 5 student from the 17th Kowloon Venture Scouts Unit shared his experience in the 'Scouts in One World' exchange program in Finland. This program allowed the student to converse with Finnish scouts and teenagers, broadening his horizons and developing future leadership skills.
The assemblies concluded with announcements from the Vice Principals Mr. Chan and Ms. Cheung regarding final examinations, extra-curricular activities and a message from the Principal about Feast Day.
Through these sharing sessions, the school aimed to inspire more students to get involved in a variety of learning opportunities that enhance their understanding of current affairs, community development, and leadership skills - all of which contribute to their personal growth and development.
On 25th April 2024, our boys attended the Inaugural Lecture of the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Professorship in Robotic Surgery held by the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The lecture was given by Professor Phillip W.Y. Chiu, the current dean of Faculty of Medicine at CUHK, who is also an old boy of the College. Themed ‘Dare to Dream’, the lecture covered Professor Chiu’s journey from art and medicine to robotics and translational research.
This experience provided valuable insights into the profession for aspiring young minds who wish to devote themselves to the medical industry. We would like to thank Professor Chiu for the invitation and the memorable afternoon he gave our boys.
Congratulations to the Form 5 French boys and NCS students for their contribution to "Voyages en Asie Pacifique" that compiles contributions from French students and teachers from 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The book delves into a variety of themes, such as history, culture, gastronomy and nature, highlighting the significance and richness of these countries.
Students from La Salle College have, alongside others from Shatin College, Diocesan Boys School and Alliance Française, contributed to the part dedicated to Hong Kong, more specifically focused on nature and landscape.
Admission Officers of LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong visited the College and met aspiring medical students on 18 April 2024.
The presentation delivered by the three leading medical experts, Professors Ivan HUNG, Kenny KWAN and Patrick CHUNG, gave Lasallians an invaluable insight into how they could fully develop their potential, realise their dreams, expand their horizons and build global connections.
