Here comes another iteration of the annual English Week, where we promote the usage of English through fun daily activities over a week's time! Our inter-class competitions test the knowledge of collocations and proverbs among our F1-2 boys. The Gallery of Speakers and the Book Fair have also made a return. Perhaps most notably, there is a new addition to the whole event: a game booth involving big dice and tongue twisters!
The month of October holds a special significance in the Catholic faith as it is dedicated to the Rosary, a powerful prayer that brings us closer to God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Throughout this month, we are encouraged to reflect on and pray the Rosary and mysteries of Jesus Christ. The Rosary consists of specific prayers – the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous mysteries, allowing us to contemplate the significant moments in the life of Jesus. The month of Rosary is a time for us to deepen their spiritual connection, seek guidance from the Blessed Mother, and grow in faith through the power of prayer.
Let us pray together with the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Dear Loving God,
As we enter into the sacred month of the Rosary, we gather before you with hearts open and eager to deepen our devotion to you through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We come humbly, seeking your guidance and blessings; may our hearts be filled with reverence and awe as we contemplate the Annunciation, the Nativity, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, and all the significant moments that shape our faith. May the Rosary serve as a pathway for us to encounter your presence, to seek solace in times of difficulty, and to grow in faith and virtue.
St John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever.
Amen.
