From 25 to 29 June, a group of students and teachers embarked on a meaningful pilgrimage to Seoul, immersing themselves in the rich history of the Catholic Church in Korea and reflecting on the virtues of the Korean Martyrs. The tour provided a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, cultural learning, and communal prayer.
Throughout the five-day journey, participants visited significant religious sites, including the Jeoldusan Martyrs’ Shrine, Jongno Catholic Church, Gahoe-dong Catholic Church, and the site of the Beatification of the 124 Korean Martyrs. Each stop offered profound insight into the courage, faith, and unwavering commitment of those who sacrifice their lives for their beliefs.
The pilgrimage also included participation in weekday Mass at Jungnim-dong Yakhyeon Catholic Church and a visit to the Catholic Saenamteo Martyrdom Shrine. On Sunday, the group joined the solemn liturgy at the iconic Myeongdong Cathedral, a spiritual highlight that brought together the pilgrims in prayer and thanksgiving.
This pilgrimage was more than a historical tour — it was a journey of the heart. Students were deeply moved by the stories of sacrifice and were inspired to live out their faith with renewed purpose and humility. The experience reminded all participants of the importance of perseverance, compassion, and the power of community in nurturing spiritual life.
Truly, it was a blessing to walk in the footsteps of saints and martyrs, and to return with hearts full of gratitude and grace.
