On 4 November , our school community gathered in reverence for the Lasallian Saints Relics Tour Mass, celebrated by Rev. Fr Dominic Lui, our alumnus, a momentous occasion that brought us face to face with the living heritage of St John Baptist de La Salle and the saints who followed his mission. In his homily, Fr Dominic reflected on faith, humility, and the enduring call to holiness that continues to guide the Lasallian mission.
Drawing from the Gospel — “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:16) — he reminded us that true greatness lies not in power or prestige, but in childlike trust and simplicity before God. The relics before us, he said, are not museum pieces but living signs of faith, tangible reminders of those who loved God and served others selflessly.
Fr Dominic recalled the journey of St John Baptist de La Salle, who gave up privilege and comfort to educate the poor and transform society through faith and learning. His vision lives on in Lasallian schools worldwide — including our own — reminding us that education forms both mind and heart.
In closing, Fr Dominic urged us to live out the Lasallian spirit — to show kindness when it is hard, act with integrity, and depend on God always. May we find strength in humility, courage in faith, and hope in service, becoming living witnesses of God’s love.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever.
