Our Geography students participated in the URA x PolyU Igniting Social Innovation Competition 2026, showcasing their creativity and dedication to driving our city towards sustainability. Using 360 technology, AI, and GIS, they developed innovative place-making ideas for the urban renewal of the Flower Market and Central and Western District, proposing solutions that preserve local culture while stimulating business activity and enhancing quality of life. We are delighted to congratulate S. H. Leung (F.5) and C.C. Chau (F.4) on receiving the Best Team Player Award.
The award presentation ceremony was held with Mr. Chan Kwok-ki, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration, as the Guest of Honour. During the ceremony, C.C. Chau (F.4) was invited to engage in a dialogue with the Chief Secretary for Administration, sharing his innovative ideas on addressing social needs and exploring how AI driven social innovation could help revitalise old urban areas and promote sustainable development.
