On 6th October, our school community gathered for our monthly Mass, a precious opportunity to step away from the busyness of school life and spend time in the presence of God. We are grateful to Reverend Father Bernardo Cervellera for celebrating the Mass with us and for sharing his inspiring message.
Reflecting on the Gospel account of Martha and Mary, Father Bernardo reminded us that we can easily find ourselves like Martha – busy with our studies, responsibilities, activities and the many demands of school life. While these things are important, we should not allow our busyness to distract us from what matters most.
Like Mary, who sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to Him, we are called to make room for Christ in our lives. Amid deadlines, worries and packed schedules, we need moments to pause, pray and listen to His voice. Jesus reminds us that we do not have to carry everything on our own; in Him, we can find peace, strength and direction.
May we learn to balance our responsibilities with time for God, choosing, like Mary, “the better part” that can never be taken away from us.
