The National and Civic Education Team, in collaboration with the Geography Department, participated in a Coastal Field Study Programme organised by the World Wide Fund at Island House, Tai Po, a heritage site known for its ecological and cultural significance.
Through engaging field activities, students explored the growing problem of marine pollution. They examined microplastics in seawater, conducted a marine litter survey, and helped clean up rocky shores and mangrove habitats.
These experiences offered valuable insights into the ways human actions affect the environment. They also encouraged students to reflect on their daily choices and to cultivate a stronger sense of responsibility for environmental conservation and sustainable living.
