Our school community gathered joyfully to celebrate the Feast Day Mass in honour of St. John Baptist de La Salle, giving thanks for his enduring legacy of faith, service, and education. We were deeply honoured to have Rev. Baptista Marciano, a member of the Class of 1958 of La Salle College, as our celebrant this year. The Mass was made even more meaningful as it followed the celebration of the golden jubilee of his priestly ordination on 30th August 2025, marking fifty years of faithful service to God and the Church. In his homily, Rev. Marciano reminded us that St. John Baptist de La Salle devoted his life to educating and caring for the young, especially the poor and those less fortunate. Though born into privilege, he chose a path of humility and service, dedicating himself to bringing hope and opportunity to others. He also reminded us that every one of us is called to show love, compassion, and concern for those in need. As members of a Lasallian community, we are especially blessed with opportunities many others may not have. Yet with such blessings comes responsibility — to care for others, to guide the young with kindness, and to become true followers of Christ through our actions. May the example of St. John Baptist de La Salle continue to inspire us to live with generosity, humility, and faith in our daily lives. St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts, forever. Amen.
