The National and Civic Education Team, together with the Geography Society, organised a field trip to Tung Chung that offered students the opportunity to explore Hong Kong’s environment and heritage beyond the classroom.
Guided by the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department, students studied the ecology and conservation of the Chinese White Dolphins in Hong Kong waters, while learning about the importance of sustainable conservation efforts. Under clear skies, they were fortunate to spot these magnificent creatures—an unforgettable highlight of the day.
The journey continued with an exploration of the Tung Chung river mouth and the historic Tung Chung Fort, led by the Chairman of the Geography Society. Students gained valuable insights into how rivers shape landscapes and how historical sites reflect Hong Kong’s cultural and strategic importance.
It was a day filled with discovery, learning, and appreciation for both the natural environment and cultural heritage of Hong Kong!
