Here are the procedures for admission to Form One in September 2026.

Policy

Our College participates in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System. Students are admitted to La Salle College through either Discretionary Places (DP) or Central Allocation (CA).

Our College is allowed to reserve 30% of our Secondary 1 (S1) places as DP for admission of students. As La Salle Primary School is our feeder primary school, our College reserves 85% of the remaining places for La Salle Primary School at the CA stage.

 

Admission through Discretionary Places for 2026-27

Number of Discretionary places: 76

Application period: 2 January to 16 January, 2026

Procedures:

  1. Create an account in the La Salle College’s Online DP Application. [Click here]
  2. Fill in the online application form.
  3. Upload soft copies of relevant supporting documents. 
  4. Click “Submit” to complete the application. An email will be sent to you with an attachment titled “LSC Application summary sheet”. 
  5. Submit a hard copy of the DP application form together with the LSC application summary sheet to our School Office during office hours*. Or, for those who opt for submission through the SSPA e-Platform, please refer to EDB guidelines.

  • Parents of successful applicants will be notified of their children's inclusion in the Successful Lists for Discretionary Places by letter and phone on 31 March 2026.
  • No written tests are given to applicants.
  • The SSPA results will be released by the EDB on 7 July 2026.
  • The registration will be held on 9 and 10 July 2026.

 

* Office hours of the School Office:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:00 noon
(except Public Holidays and Sundays)

 

Note:

  1. La Salle College is committed to protecting all personal data submitted during the application process which is handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
  2. All applicants will be granted an interview. The interview will be held from mid-January to late January afternoon.
  3. There is no need to provide recommendation letters from primary schools.
  4. Students classified as Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) under the Education Bureau (EDB) guidelines — that is, those whose home language is not Chinese — are eligible to study French and follow a modified Chinese curriculum in place of the full local Chinese curriculum. 

     

    La Salle College offers French as a language option to ensure all students study two languages up to Form 6, in line with the requirements of Hong Kong and most international universities. The College prepares these students for the DELF (Diploma of French Language Studies). However, to meet local university admission requirements, students studying French and English as their two languages must also attain a pass in a recognized Chinese examination, such as the GCSE or IGCSE Chinese.

     

    In the event of any disputes, our College reserves the right to make the final decision.
