Appendix I
Statement of Personal Introduction from the Candidate
I am Daniel Wong, and I am seeking re-election as the Alumni Manager of the Incorporated Management Committee of La Salle College.
Having served as President of LSCOBA and Alumni Manager for the past year, I have gained invaluable experience in navigating complex situations and addressing diverse opinions within our community.
Throughout my tenure, I have successfully acted as a bridge between our school and the Old Boys, ensuring that your voices and concerns are clearly communicated to the management.
I take pride in having nominated OBA representatives to the newly formed Sports Development Advisory Committee and the Cultural Development Advisory Committee under the IMC of La Salle College, where both representatives have fostered strong collaboration with school leadership.
My commitment to our Lasallian values remains unwavering. I graduated from La Salle Primary School in 1994 and La Salle College in 1999. My journey has been enriched by my service in the Legion of Mary, which has deepened my understanding of our Catholic ethos.
Professionally, I serve as a Consultant and Chief of Service of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. These roles require me to be an attentive listener and a problem-solver – skills that are essential in my capacity as your Alumni Manager.
Apart from LSCOBA, I am deeply involved in education as the Director of Nethersole Clinical Simulation Training Centre, an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in Medicine at HKU & CUHK, and the School Sponsoring Body Manager in Tai Kok Tsui Catholic Primary School (Hoi Fan Road). My experience in various educational and leadership roles equips me to continue enhancing our alumni engagement and community outreach.
I am passionate about ensuring that our alma mater remains a vibrant and supportive environment for all stakeholders. I respectfully ask for your support in my re-election, so we can continue to strengthen the bond between the Old Boys and our beloved school.
Thank you for considering my candidacy.
