The 19th Hong Kong Mathematical High Achievers Selection Contest

The Math Team has captured the Championship in the 19th Hong Kong Mathematical High Achievers Selection Contest. There were 258 schools and 984 students participating in this contest. The prize-giving ceremony was held on 29th April 2017. Here are the results we obtained.

Joyful Fruit Day

The PTA has been supporting the school in promoting a healthy diet to students. This year, the PTA continued to hold the Joyful Fruit Day for our students. Parent volunteers bought and distributed apples to our lower form students on 25th April. The aim of this activity is to arouse students’ awareness of a healthy diet. In addition, the PTA is going to hold a parent seminar on Friday 28th at 6:30 pm in the Large Lecture Theatre on the topic of ‘Healthy Diet’. The guest speaker is Mr Frankie Siu who is a professional nutritionist. Interested parents and students are welcome to attend.

HKCC Business Excellence Contest 2016/17

The College is pleased to announce that our team has won the Judges Commendation Award, among 121 entries from entries from secondary schools on Hong Kong, in the HKCC Business Excellence Contest. The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on 8 April 2017, in PolyU West Kowloon Campus.

The HKCC Business Excellence Contest is an annual business competition organized by Hong Kong Community College of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for Secondary 4-6 students. The theme for the competition this year was “Celebration of Corporate Anniversary”. Participating teams were required to analyze the business of a corporation in Hong Kong and make use of their creativity and critical thinking skills to design a gift set with a new slogan, for the corporation to achieve specific marketing objective(s), as well as to celebrate its anniversary.

Badminton Team Announcement

The Badminton Team is pleased to announce that they captured the C Grade Championship in the Division 1 Inter-Schools Badminton Competition, held on Sunday 9th April. They played against FSS-KT in the semi-final and won 3:0. Then they played against DBS in the final and won 3:0. As a result, the team captured the Championship. Together with Grades A and B, our team captured the Overall Championship.

The Team would like to thank their coach, Mr Lam, teacher advisor, Mr Peter Leung, all old boys and parent supporters!

The Odyssey of the Mind team is glad to announce that their two teams have captured the 2nd runner-up in both the inter-schools Division 2 and 3 competition held on 1st April .

The team would like to thank their teacher advisor Mr Chan Tong and give special thanks to Mr Alfred LAM for his guidance and supervision in the competitions.

Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Competition (Chinese Section)

The Mock Trial Team came second in the final of Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Competition (Chinese Section). The final match was held in High Court on 25 March 2017. The team lost 0.2 points to the champion team, HKTA Tang Hin Memorial Secondary School in the four-hour final match. The results are as follows.
